Waymore’s Blues

Waylon Jennings

Well, I woke up this mornin’ it was drizzlin’ rain
Around the curve come a passanger train
Heard somebody yodel and a hobo moan
Jimmy he’s dead, he’s been a long time gone
Been a long time gone, a long time gone

If you wanna get to heaven, gotta D-I-E
You gotta put on your coat and T-I-E
Wanna get the rabbit out of the L-O-G
You gotta make a cold motion like D-O-G
Like D-O-G
Like D-O-G
YeahWell, I got a good woman, what’s the matter with me?
What makes me wanna love every woman I see?
I was tri’fling when I met her now I’m tri’fling again
And every woman she sees looks like the place I came in
Looks like the place I came in
Yeah (ooh)
Place I came in

I got my name painted on my shirt
I ain’t no ordinary dude
I don’t have to work
I don’t have to work

Carrie Underwood Fantastic Version of Randy Travis’ Song “I Told You So” at Grand Ole Opry

This probably one the best songs that Country Music superstar Carrie Underwood has ever performed. She sang “I Told You So” in front of huge live audience at Grand Ole Opry. “I Told You So” is a number 1 hit song written and recorded by Randy Travis from his 1987 album, Always & Forever. Carrie Underwood and Randy Travis recorded a duet and it peaked at number two on the U.S. country charts in 2009.

About Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood was born on March 10, 1983, Muskogee, Oklahoma, U.S.A.. She is an American country music performer who rose to stardom when she won the American Idol in 2005. She received the top prize of a recording contract with 19 Recordings/Arista Records, and the resulting album, Some Hearts (2005), was a massive commercial hit, eventually selling more than seven million copies and cementing Underwood’s status as one of American Idol’s most successful alumni. In 2007 she won Grammy Awards for best new artist and best female country vocal performance. Carrie returned to American Idol in 2007, performing a cover of the Pretenders’ “I’ll Stand by You.” Made available as a single on Apple’s iTunes service, the song was downloaded more than 300,000 times and became the first digital-only release to crack the top 10 of the Billboard singles chart. At the 2007 Country Music Association (CMA) Awards, Underwood claimed single-of-the-year honours for the feisty revenge song “Before He Cheats.” Her second album, Carnival Ride (2007), sold more than half a million copies in its first week of release, and in early 2008 she was inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

I Told You So Lyrics

Carrie Underwood

Suppose I called you up tonight
And told you that I loved you
And suppose I said I wanna come back home
And suppose I cried and said I think I finally learned my lesson
And I’m tired of spending all my time alone

If I told you that I realize you’re all I ever wanted
And it’s killing me to be so far away
Would you tell me that you love me too
And would we cry together
Or would you simply laugh at me and say

I told you so
Oh, I told you so
I told you someday you’d come crawling back
And asking me to take you in
I told you so
But you had to go
Now I found somebody new and you will never break my heart in two again

If I got down on my knees and told you I was yours forever
Would you get down on yours too and take my hand
Would we get that old time feeling
Would we laugh and talk for hours
The way we did when our love first began

Would you tell me that you missed me too
And that you’ve been so lonely
And you’ve waited for the day that I returned
And we would live and love forever
And that I’m your one and only
Or would you say the tables finally turn

Would you say I told you so
Oh, I told you so
I told you someday you’d come crawling back
And asking me to take you in
I told you so
But you had to go

Now I found somebody new and you will never break my heart in two again
Now I found someone new and you will never break my heart in two again

Alan Jackson’s Well-Loved Song “Remember When” Live at Grand Ole Opry

This live performance of Alan Jackson is probably one of his best. Alan sang his well-loved country hit song “Remember When” which is probably one the best songs he has ever written. Released in 2003 as the second and final single from his compilation album, Greatest Hits Volume II, it spent two weeks at number 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in February 2004 and peaked at number 29 on the Billboard Hot 100. Billboard called this single “the most poignant, well written country song to hit the format in a long time.”

About Alan Jackson

Alan Jackson was born in the small town of Newnan, Georgia, on October 17, 1958. He grew up singing gospel music, both in church and at home with his family, and as a teenager he performed locally as part of a country duo. He left school to work and married his high-school sweetheart, Denise, who worked as an airline stewardess. In 1989, Jackson became the first artist signed to Arista’s new country division. Jackson’s debut album, Here in the Real World, was issued in 1990 and became a platinum-selling hit on the strength of four Top Five hits: the title cut, “Chasin’ That Neon Rainbow,” “Wanted,” and the first of many chart-toppers, “I’d Love You All Over Again.” He shot to full-fledged superstardom with the follow-up, 1991’s Don’t Rock the Jukebox, whose title track was an inescapable number one smash that year. Remember When Lyrics

Alan Jackson

Remember when I was young and so were you
And time stood still and love was all we knew
You were the first, so was I
We made love and then you cried
Remember when

Remember when we vowed the vows and walked the walk
Gave our hearts, made the start, it was hard
We lived and learned, life threw curves
There was joy, there was hurt
Remember when

Remember when old ones died and new were born
And life was changed, disassembled, rearranged
We came together, fell apart
And broke each other’s hearts
Remember when

Remember when the sound of little feet
Was the music we danced to week to week
Brought back the love, we found trust
Vowed we’d never give it up
Remember when

Remember when thirty seemed so old
Now lookin’ back, it’s just a steppin’ stone
To where we are, where we’ve been
Said we’d do it all again
Remember when

Remember when we said when we turned gray
When the children grow up and move away
We won’t be sad, we’ll be glad
For all the life we’ve had
And we’ll remember when Remember when
